What is Amychophobia?

Amychophobia is the fear of being scratched.

Where Does Amychophobia Come From?

Amychophobia, just like most phobias, come from an subconscious 'overprotection' mechanism. The fear of being scratched is caused by the mind over-estimating the danger caused by being scratched, believing that being scratched presents an actual threat, where in reality it may not.

Amychophobia can be caused by an 'unresolved' emotional conflict.

Can Amychophobia Be Treated?
